Holbrook Electrical and Engineering were contacted by the East Kent Engineering Partnership based in Canterbury and tasked with a specialist flood barrier design and build project. We researched the current market looking at readily available system to deploy but no one has designed or manufactured the specialist type of gate the client was looking for. Holbrook Electrical therefore took on the design, manufacture, testing, and installation and commissioning of a vertical raising grade 316 stainless steel, hydraulically operated flood barrier.

Holbrook are proud to say they were involved in one of the largest offshore wind farms in the word The prestigious London Array Project London Array Holbrook Electrical are proud to have been involved with the prestigious London Array Project the largest offshore wind farm in the world. Holbrook Electrical were asked initially by RNP as their nominated electrical contractor to arrange for power to be laid on to the construction base being set up by Siemens. Holbrook Electrical became an approved main contractor for Siemens Retail and undertook the 200K refurbishment of the old port workshops and proposed maintenance compound. Through this work we became known to Siemens Wind Power who asked us to become nominated contractor. During the construction phase totalling 18 months Holbrook Electrical was charged with supporting and supplying various materials to the land based construction compound. We were also asked at short notice to have components manufactured or to collect urgent parts required for the wind farm towers. Giving working locations A brighter future Holbrook Electrical can design and install totally new systems or work with your existing infrastructure Ramsgate is a good example of this as we undertook work that covered both areas of this requirement. Ramsgate has an array of 25 metre high climbable lighting towers these were fitted initially with expensive floodlights that contained all the control equipment at high level. Due to the aggressive nature of the environment these units rotted through quickly and had a high failure rate, they were expensive to purchase and labour intensive to replace in difficult conditions working at high level. Holbrook Electrical sourced alternate cheaper and more robust fittings. We also designed and built lighting control panels to contain all the control equipment at the base of the column so it could be easily accessed For maintenance, repair and testing. Therefore the high level work was massively reduced and keeping a high level of serviceable units in operation became much easier. Holbrook Electrical have also improved areas of the port lighting as the site has developed.
